I just finished doing this pencil drawing. You can see Beren as he finds Lúthien, the elvish princess, dancing in the forest twilight. I made Lúthien's clothes by using pieces of albanene paper.

The most original peice I’ve seen in so long. The choice of blue is just perfect, and the skin of luthien is just impeccable. So subtle but it has this certain element of chaos that I can’t look away from.

that’s really cool. i’m not an artist personally, but this is one of those pieces that makes me wish i was. i love the mixed media affect, her dress is awesome!

I love the mixed media you’ve used in this piece, and I also love how you’ve portrayed the couple, especially Luthien; I can really see why Beren would be so mesmirised(sp?) by her.

wow, it’s so pretty and good technique... I must say that when I read the book I thought it to be a more quiet sceen. But a beautyful job bringing one of tolkiens less known storys on the view
