This is a symbolic art work that tries to depict both the grace and the melancholy of Tolkien's elves in the third age of Middle-earth. The work itself tries to portay an art work that would have been made by the elves themselves, reflecting the nostalgia and loss they would have felt in their last days of walking on the mortal lands. I used an ordinary 2H pencil to make the drawing.

Absolutely stunning! Done in fine silver, this would make a gorgeous double picture frame.

"MUSICA" and "AVUORUM"... Hope I'm reading that right... Is that Latin? If so, it's an interesting choice of languages. Most artists would have gone with Ye Standarde Elvishe Runick Writynge.

I have seen many drawings of Elves on Elfwood. But not nearly so many of things created by elves. Yours is truly moving. Thank you for posting this.

This is one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. You capture the essense of the elves perfectly. I always imagined the elves to reflect the elegance of water. I particulary like how you contrasted the two figures. Their expression are very capitivating. They remind me of the masks of tragedy and comedy from the Greek theater.

I love it! It’s so rare to find truly beautiful art. I wonder, do you do commission pieces? As an author, i often find myself scouring the web for pictures that match my thoughts, and yours are among the closest i have ever found. Keep up the amazing work. (I wish i had more adjectives for you, but my mind is blank with awe.)

Argh! I just read my above comment, and that part about ’truly beautiful art’ is not what i meant. Geez, sometimes i wonder about myself...Anyway, what i MEANT to say was that this is some of the most beautiful art i have ever seen in my opinion.
Gah.
