In the heart of an arctic land, amidst snowy peaks, ice crags and deep precipices, rises an image of splendour. The ancient remains of an imperial palace, seemingly unaffected by the unfirendly nature. The empire has long been broken, and snow has covered any remains of the culture, yet the might of the emperors is still clearly visible. Everything about it seems to have frozen in time... I used oil paints.

Totally amazing, have no more words....

2 Billy Mosig replies: "Thankyou! It is really satisfying to see that my paintings can actually get those kind of reactions. I never really expected that hahaha"

Absolutely breathtaking...What I would give to live there...

:-) Billy Mosig replies: "I also wanted to live there, but I wouldn't be able to endure the arctic cold and transportation might be a little difficult. Perhaps the inside of the palace is more cozy, and I should have painted a road as well."

This is amazing. The sky, the building, the snow it's all perfect! It's probably too cold for me there, but if it wasn't so cold I'd deffinatly asked you if there was a free room in that palace for me.

:-) Billy Mosig replies: "Well, if the climate is too cold for you, you'll be glad to know that we've just recently installed a brand new heating system for the palace. Perhaps that may interest you on a room, we still have two or three rooms left, all of the most high quality of course. "

This one reminds me a bit of the castle of the blades in "The Elder Scrolls 4 : Oblivion"... and it just looks amazing! I wish I could do paintings like this^^

:-) Billy Mosig replies: "I've never played that video game (I'm asuming it it a video game haha). But now I'm intrigued and I want to take a look at that castle just out of curiosity. Thank you for your comment! You have some cool pictures yourself, I love the Nazgûl you have on your gallery."

I'm very impressed with this painting, as I am with the rest of your work. I would love to post a sample of this picture with a link to your site on my forum - A Far Away Place. Please let me know if this is ok.

Thanks
Phillip

Simply amazing. I love the feel of absolute desolation, and somber, arctic purity. A palace enveloped by a glacier is an incredible concept.
Inspiring, and beautiful. I would love to live there!

I love how it seems to be at the end or the very top of the world, the way the mountain ends its awesome! I like your use of the different whites, very well done. I’d love to see more forgotten palaces...
