I did this picture for a school project. It's made with watercolours. We were suposed to make an artistic creation about meassurments (the class was Physics Laboratory). I came upon the idea of portraying Urania, the muse of the sciences (and the one in the middle) aided by her scientific priestess (each one holding one or more meassuring devices). It was also supposed to be similar to the greek vase art, so I used monochromatic colors and defined shapes. It got me two extra points in my final ;)

This is my favourite of yours. It's lovely!
You did such an excellent job of portraying it so classically, yet this is a very unique piece of art.
Really cool!
^_^

:-) Billy Mosig replies: "Thankyou!! I'm waiting to go back that rode sometime soon and do a couple of similar watercolours, at least something that is greek-inspired. I'm grateful for your comments!"

Gorgeously rendered, plus it made me laugh. So unexpected! I love Greek art and mythology and I am a scientist by training, so this was a really fun find. Thanks!

:-) Billy Mosig replies: "Thanks! I guess it is a little humurous, especially for people who do know all those measuring items!"

great job! The composition is really good and the proportions are great! i like the whole ancient Greek touch. You must be a very creative person... It`s original and looks great. No mods choice? Thats outrageous.

I agree... no mod's? The technical skill alone that you demonstrate in this piece is amazing.

Can't think of any criticism for this. Excellent job.

OK...that’s it...I can’t take much more of your greatness. I want to be you when I grow up!!! ( I’m 54 so I guess that will never happen)! You’re too good! And so young...just ain’t right! Wow!!!
