| 16 Dec 2003 | Mikael Andersson | Loading...An enormus amount of details here, I love the magikan and the surrounding, but the imps look... well, a bit to 80's-ish with that hair Jon Dixon replies: "Ha ha ha!! Poodle rock imps! Love it! Do you know it had never occurred to me before but now you've pointed it out... Fantastic!! Still, at least none of them have mullets!" | |
| 16 Dec 2003 | English Jim | Loading...I especially like the various beasts that wait and watch the summoning take place. You know they have seen this before, as they probably arrived in the same way. They simply watch as the latest member on the family is being born. Jon Dixon replies: "Absolutely right, Jim. That's just the scenario I was intending! Though I think the new guy looks like he'll be the school bully Thanks for the comment." | |
| 17 Dec 2003 | Nephilim | Loading...Love the parchment/thingie behind him: and, FINALLY, a Magician cool enough to do the "surf's up, rock on" (horns) gesture! You deserve Mods' Choice on that alone, even without the stupendous talent (and, I don't doubt) time involved in getting something like that, THAT good. Ardderchog, luv! Jon Dixon replies: " Heh! \The next stage in the spell, of course, is to hold a small flame above his head and sway from side to side while singing along with the chorus! Thanks for the comment..." | |
| 17 Dec 2003 | Povphile povphile@dir...com> | Loading...You ever do this in 3d I would be way interested in seeing it. Great job on the ink drawing. Jon Dixon replies: "In 3D!! I can only imagine the work it would take to set that scene up! And the render time!! Still, it would be cool...hmmmm.(wanders off, muttering about buying a new hard drive and some more RAM...)" | |
| 27 Dec 2003 | Immort | Loading...I adore the details you put in all your work. This drawings are full of life, even the tinyest thing has great detail. It must be very hard to accomplish. Great, great work! Jon Dixon replies: "Thank you very much!" | |
| 27 Dec 2003 | Julia | Loading...That man doesn't look evil. Jon Dixon replies: "Truly evil people rarely do! I don't think this guy is really *evil*. A little misguided perhaps..." | |
| 27 Dec 2003 | Chris | Loading...Simply great I think this is the best picture of your gallery that I have seen so far Jon Dixon replies: "Thanks Chris. Much appreciated!" | |
| 28 Dec 2003 | Anonymous | Loading...Do you sell your artwork? You should! Jon Dixon replies: "Uncommissioned stuff? Only occasionally. Not very often." | |
| 10 Jun 2007 | Vincent Shadowfriend | Loading...Agree with all previous comments. No need to say all that again. What did catch my eye was the fact that the wizard have a pen stuck behind his ear. I found that funny, like he was making notes before the summoning, put it there, and simply forgot about it. It also adds life to the image, like there are more things happening before, and after, the summoning. The story I make in my mind after seeing this becomes larger, thanks to that pen.
All in all, a great picture. Hope you get Mods Choice on this. | |
