"Pensive Caeci" by Jon Dixon

A- Don't pay Dee the slightes bit of atteneion, s/he goes to almost every mod's to say 'this looks anime' or 'nude pictures are bad' or 'this looks too sketchy' or 'this looks cliche' etc, and never leaves an email address or anything.

B- I can't believe you did this on a 6" x 4" card, all that detail! The fur is quite well done, especially the ears. This looks good, I like her unusual pose too.

This just makes me want to cry! The way that you have done her eyes makes her look as though she has been left behind or forgotten....Great job!

Caeci is, in fact an outcast from her own people, the elfen, not human but living in a human world, always remembering the Grey Forests where her heartfire still burns. I didn't intend the picture to show that specifically, but I'm really glad that some of her back-story must have come through in the drawing... Thanks again."

Im SOooo impressed by the hands- its not just the pose, but the look of them, they look just as soft and delicate as she is portrayed.

Jon Dixon replies: "Thanks for the lovely comment, Ta. I think hands are one of the hardest things to 'get right' and they can be just as expressive as the face. I'm really pleased these worked for you!"

I LOVE HER HANDS!!!!! Very nice detail. And the way the ear connects to the head (those weird flap things that all cats have) was very, very good and adds a brilliant realism to the picture. There's only one thing that I don't like and that's the way the nipple pops up over her arm, but it also adds an odd type of realism to the cast of shades and texture so it fits well. I also like the way her belly "pooches" just a little bit below her arm. Love it. Not all beautiful people have to have a ruler line for a stomach. Love the overall effect. The balance is also a little off. There needs to be something in that upper left hand corner to really set it off, but that's just my opinion. Love it though!!

wonderful. both atmospheric-wise and of course all the details - amazing, especially since you've done the picture in pencil *only* (i love both pencil work and coloured ).
The hands are so real and the ears are perfect (i think often people get them slightly wrong) to me, and you can see every single hair really.
i also like the hairstyle - unusual and lovely and again very detailed.

isn't this Dee person the one who comments on almost everyone's pictures the same... cliché anime and stuff? definitely don't worry about that one!

Really well done. I really like the braids with the jewellery woven into them.

Do not pay any attention to Dee, he/she says the same on every picture where you can see some nudity even when it is done tastefully...

Jon Dixon replies: "Thank you! The rings in Caeci's braids are actually carved bone, and are presented to the individual for prowess in hunting or some other endeavour - kind of like 'merit badges' in the Scouts I guess!"

Ah, so this is the one I found several times when I was srolling around on elfwood. It's soo pretty. You deserved that mod's choise! I qreally like this one. especially the things in her hair.
