You may not always get close enough to see them, but they are there. The elven scouts are watching out for any trouble. These are young elves and they have allowed themselves to be seen. A reprimand may be in the offing but the young can only learn from their mistakes. There are four elves in this, three can be seen but the fourth has been hidden in the foliage. Done in acrylic on propper acrylic paper, a modification of a photo I took in a local park.

Heck, the three non hiden elves were hard enough to find. It is a very beautiful forrest, no wonder the evles make it their abode.

Yep a nice peaceful forest and that is the way it stays with the Elves patrolling."

I like the way you create images. You didnít draw this first did you? Would this be considered an impressionist technique?

45 Dave Cripps replies: "Sometimes a detailed sketch underneath can help. But i think this was a rough sketch with paint to begin with. I s'pose it would be Impresssionist, looks better at a distance up close just looks like random brush strokes."

Oooh gee hell, now i see them!!!!!!!!!!! Very impressive... I love how you can hide these guys in your woods so well2!!!

45 Dave Cripps replies: "If they were hidden properly you wouldn't see them. Although that would have been just a woodland picture... ah good job they were there really."

Kinda reminds me of the time I got lost in the woods, except then the shadowy figures were just a few foxes, deer, and this really strange looking figure that I couldnt get a look at. The foxes were cute though. To bad I found my way out 10

45 Dave Cripps replies: "You get foxes and deers I get some crazy guy talking about parachutes. But then again I wasn’t lost."

Loved the way you’ve hidden the elves in the forest…it’s very beautiful. What is the size of the original piece?

:-) Dave Cripps replies: "I think it’s about A3 sized or just a little smaller. It’s a standard pad of painting paper size anyway."
