"Gas Street" by Dave Cripps

	Here we see some colourful Narrowboats in the middle of Birmingham England. Gas Street Basin to be precise. The red boat is a cruiser that takes passengers past the sights nearby. Birmingham is on a series of hills and to get to this basin the boats need to ascend a flight of locks. Which can be fascinating to watch as holiday makers cruise up to the old basin.

16 Nov 2009	Tom Draco Noir Taylor	Loading... Very nice shot- i like the brick bridge in the background too. Looks like a relaxing day trip- taking one of these colorful boats and ascending with the locks. Dave Cripps replies: "Boring Mode: That bridge has some interesting marks. When the barges were towed by horse the ropes cut into the brickwork and it can still be seen today."
