Some kind of immortality - never to be forgotten. Even though somehow she who remembers is a little... well... strange...
That is an interesting design on that stone here. Do you know "Monkey Island"? It somehow reminds me of LeChucks Fortress. Dave Cripps
replies: "Monkey Island? There’s that game again. I seem to have missed out on the fun there. There are two stones like that. The other is a little more eroded. They must be at least 300 years old. Whoever paid for them must have really loved the person they were for. "

It’s both a dark, sad and beutiful image. First I din’t see the skeletal hand, so it took me by suprise, hehe. Love the tombstone too, especially the pillars at the sides. Dave Cripps
replies: "Had to make the hand stand out a bit thinking it would get rejected as being just an old gravestone. It’s in better nick than the other one whick has a bit of moss on it eating into the soft stone. I think they’re limestone which is why they are not standing up to the weather as good as they should."

beautiful and sad picture. Well done again. Dave Cripps
replies: "Thank you. It was meant to be both and thankfully I didn’t mess it up.

Capturing the folds of the cloak with those few broad strokes is amazing. I really like the effect it creates. Dave Cripps
replies: "thank you. I just wanted you to know she was there without going too crazy with the robe."

The combination of the description and the image is so sad! Was this inspired by some personal tragedy. But I guess to inspire such emotion is what art is all about.
