"Anaxander" by Danica Beverley Wells

This is very unique, I like the story.

"It was almost time, he thought as he shifted in the heavens. The stars surrounding him seemed to glisten in reflected anticipation.

He waited, his impatience only fathomable by someone who had been dealt so many blows in a short life.

Finally, the moon rose to it’s zenith and he threw himself down from the stars with the zeal only one desperate to see their loved ones can muster. He felt the change come over him as he traveled through the sky.

Every time he walked up that path once back on the earth, the path that led him back to them, he wondered whether this ability to remember was a gift or a curse. And as always he decided to keep stepping forward.

This time she was outside already. It was late, and at first he wondered why, but then his enhanced hearing heard that she was crying. If only he could cry in his new form, he would shed tears with her, he couldn’t bear to see her in such pain.

He held back, but wondered if he should approach her. He knew it wouldn’t matter if he did though, she would never recognize him.

Danica Beverley Wells replies: "WOW! You’re really good at writting or storytelling and stuff! And yeah, he’s actually comes down often to see his sister-of-arms and her brother."

Very good picture and I would love to hear the story! However I have one bit of helpful critisim.... the neck of the wolf is a little long... that is unless it moves into the body... but I’m not sure. If the body is there show a little more muscle under the fur to let people know. Just trying to help out ^^

Danica Beverley Wells replies: "Thanks! I love critisism, so don’t feel bad at all. I agree though, this is one old pic, but the neck sort of does move into the body and all. He just has really, really long fur."

Wonderful picture! and the story is good too, although Heather definitely finds the better words. Still...goosebumps...

Really nice, perhaps it just should be a little more uneven fur in the front?

Danica Beverley Wells replies: "I definetely agree. But this is an old pic, and when got to doing the fur in front (which was the last thing I did) I was really bored and my arm hurt so I just quickly did hair... I’m one baaaad sheep."

Lovely, he looks very wise in a way. You know I like wolves
