SciFi and Fantasy Art Lenore by Karen Louise Westrop

This is a painting of Lenore from Edgar Allan Poe's poem 'The Raven'. Poe has also written another poem about this girl entitled 'Lenore' which tells us that Lenore was his bride to be, but sadly died at a very young age. I have painted Lenore as a ghost using a mask to hide all emotions. The poem describes her as having 'yellow hair' but I used a bit of artistic licence with that one. Mainly painted in acrylic
