Hello. Since you came to my site, I decided to come to yours. I had no idea that you were new here, but since you are, let me be the first to say welcome! It's always nice to have another person added to the woods, even though there are so many here. I hope none of my elfwood friends come here and scare you. If you see a girl with any muffins, don't take them. They are deadly. Now, on to read your works. >Oh yeah!< *first comment dance!*

Elfwood is great. I've been scribbling here for a number of years. Most everyone is very generous with comments and is generally constructive. Been a very big help for me!

“Shoo! Shoo!” The old lady casts a look back at you, ignoring your horrified expression. “Just a cat, darling, give me a second; I’ll get rid of it.” From somewhere under her shawl, she pulls a rifle.
“Err... That doesn’t look like a cat...” You attempt, not quite certain what should be said to a happily smiling old lady with a rifle. She turns to you, ever so slowly.
“Are you trying to imply something, dearie...?”
“Umm... No...”
“Something along the lines of me viciously robbing a Muffin Girl of her welcoming basket of freshly baked muffins as she happily skipped her way towards your hut, intent on following the advice of that evil lying single-letter-named pyromaniac whose site you commented upon...?”
“Err...”
“Wakka wakka! Another successfully hijacked comment! For I am THE OLD LADY OF DOOM!!!” The old lady fires her rifle into the ceiling of your hut, bringing down a chunk of plaster. In the resulting dust-storm, she disappears with a faint popping noise. Blinking, you walk your way to the door and peer down at the severely beaten form of the Muffin Girl.
“Never, ever write such a long comment again.” You warn her, picking up the rifle which the OLD LADY OF DOOM was so kind as to leave behind.
“Bloody, bruised, mugged, innocent-” She protests. You methodically ready the rifle for fire. Muffin gulps visibly.
“Sorry, Master. Won’t happen again.”

PS: To make the bold text end, you write it as ^_^ Not . What a silly Master. *looks into the rifle disturbingly close to her face* Err... Sorry, Master. You're a wise and just Master. Yes, yes you are. *nods enthusiastically*

Kim 'whimsycallie' Cherry replies: "Hmmmmm..... feels kind of good to be on this side of the gun. Thanks for visiting. Hope you are a quick healer. *whispers* Thanks for the html hint. I think it is fixed now. *shrugs* but who knows."

The door to your elfwoodian hut creaks inward on its brand-spankin’ new hinges. An old woman, walking with the assistance of a cane, wobbles her way through. “Why hello there, dearie.” She says, squinting at you through absurdly thick glasses. “Would you like a muffin or two? They’re freshly baked with all the goodness to keep strong young bones healthy.” She offers to you the basket which had formerly been hanging upon her arm. “Now don’t be shy, my pet. Eat up.” You nervously reflect upon the prior comment... but it’s an old lady, with a cane, and thick glasses... You don’t turn freshly baked, delicious smelling bakery products down when they come from that messenger. And in any case, that annoying little single-letter wench specifically said <i>girls</i> with muffins. The old lady, smiling in that sweet manner nice old ladies have, is eagerly awaiting your approval. You can’t let her down, now can you...? And so, with just a slight hesitation, you accept the basket of muffinly goodness, and feast. The old lady watches your glutinous spree with pleasure. “Yes, my precious... that’s it... eat up... fufufufu...”
~Some Time Later~
“Thank you! Those were so good!” You proclaim, patting your stomach and smiling sincerely at the dear old lady.
“Anytime, darling.” Her eyes are lit up at your enjoyment of her simple gift.
“H-help...” The feeble call comes from the bushes outside of your hut. You cock your head.
“Did you hear something?”
“Why no, dearie, I didn’t. Here, let’s just shut this door-” The old lady gets up from the seat you so graciously offered her, and wobbles her way towards the-
“H-help me...! Old lady... mugged... pain in my world...” –door. Unfortunately, her attempts to shut it are hampered by the limp arm which has flopped down in the door’s path. Viciously, and with a cheery smile, the old lady repeatedly slams the door on the limp, feebly twitching limb. “S-so much p-pain...” The arm’s owner whines.

It is I, your friendly neighborhood Kaeirdwyn. I just thought I would drop in and see your site. You will have to go to mine...when the ticket is moderated. LOL. Thanks for showing me Elfwood. It is my new obsession. I am down here on the computer in my relatively cool basement, while my hubby is upstairs in ninety degree weather washing dishes. hee hee hee.
