Angles cry in the darkened lands.
So what?
What land isn’t dark,
What set of wings cannot be broken?
We are unending in torment,
Ungaining in pain.
Let the angles cry,
I say.
Let them perish as well.
Let the sun be eclipsed by the moon
And let darkness reign.
Angels cry in the darkened lands.
So what?
What tears haven’t already been shed?
What sadness has yet to come and pass?
Have we not seen this devastation before?
We are unending in torment,
Ungaining in pain.
We writhe and submerge ourselves
In black, inkless pools,
Drowning in our own despair.
Let darkness reign.
Angles cry in the darkened lands.
Should we cry as well?
Us, the soulless, the thoughtless,
The mindless demon race.
Should we cry?
Should we look to our malformed hands,
Repent for our bloodshed sins?
Should we ask forgiveness of the angles
Who have fallen to our unending desolation?
Those angels,
Of broken wings,
Who shed tears for our madness?
Let darkness reign.
