"You dare? I dare to tear your mind asunder!"

Most artists at one point in their lives (usually multiple points) end up creating a work that measures far above and beyond their current abilities and helps define who they are as an artist and a person, and what they might become in the future. I believe this piece is one of mine: a milestone. A real leap ahead. Some call 'em masterpieces. Maybe this is a masterpiece. I dunno.

I do know that I put a lot of time (four straight days of working on this), effort, love and soul into it. I pulled out all the stops and stretched my imagination and artistic skills to the limit. I used some references here and there, bits and pieces. I tried my best to get as much feeling, detail and technical expertise into it. What's going on in this scenario is a very rare sight: Oidhche actually, genuinely mad. Its kind of terrifying. I feel bad for whoever is on the recieving end of his wrath...

Done on 11''x14'' 130 gsm Strathmore Drawing paper with 2H, B, 2B, and 6B pencils with white gel pen for additional highlights. Art is mine, character belongs to my boyfriend.
