I gave your drawings a quick look.Interesting.If you want to draw in a more realistic way than you must start drawing after a model(anyone, parents, friends, any person you can convince to stand still enough for you to make a rapid sketch). It's the only way you can figure out the proportions of the human body.

12 Emilia A. Wikstrom replies: "Yeah, I've given it a try a couple of times and it works, but no one wants to stand model for me anymore... Probably cause my quick sketches turn out to be an hourlong pic with lots of unnecessery details... -_-' Thanks for visiting and yeah, I'll give it a try!"

Love your stuff, and yeah go you being a traditionalist!! Pencils rule!!! It can be hard trying to make people look more realistic, i suggest you try sme life drawing from observation;draw your friends and family...and of course practice makes perfect12 Good luck sweeti!*

11 Emilia A. Wikstrom replies: "Thanks, I'll do my best! ^_~Yepp, nothing beats the good ol' fashion pencil!"

I like your art work. You got lots of talent. Do you take any art classes? Do like to listen to music while create your art? I can't imagine creating art without having some music playing. Preferably metal. I def. check back and see your progress. Good job Emilia.

11 Emilia A. Wikstrom replies: "Thanks! Yeah, I always listen to some good quality music while drawing. I took leassons from the age of 7 to 15 but then I stopped, I didn't feel like I was doing any progress and I got transfered to a group with younger people so I wasn't learning anything new, so I quit. Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery! I love your work. You have a great style and a good eye for proportions...which for bodies is a rare gift. If I had one bit of constructive advice, it would be to play with some new ways of doing black and white. Your pencil drawings are so beautiful, I think if you did some shading and detail work with a charcoal, conte, or ebony pencil, it would make them even MORE dynamic to help create the emotional intensity you're looking for. Play with it and see what you get. I think you'll like it. Once I started, I couldn't stop. You're a great talent. I hope to see more soon!

1 Emilia A. Wikstrom replies: "Thank you for the wonderful comment! Yeah, I'll give it a try, been fooling around with charcoal before but I always messed up big time! "
