Okay, this is going to be a quite long description. I was listening to Pink Floyd, Dark Side Of the Moon and got inspired by their song Brain Damage. The song has a relaxed rhythm and sound going on and Waters voice is also quite calming. But when you listen to the lyrics you soon understand that everything is not as calm as it seems. That’s why I made the pic, the girl in the middle is suppose to represent the calm. She looks quite peaceful but really she doesn’t know what is going on in her mind and that’s what the images surrounding her represent. I thought of things that people perhaps don’t find frightening but it’s still there, nagging their conscious. Like time itself, we never seem to have enough time and time moving forward also represent death in a way. The candle that has been blown out can represent the extinction of another dream or another life. People fear what others will think of them, most people fear to get humiliated and that is why I drew the laughing mouth, growing fangs. The burning horse and the lizard are just in her imagination, they are not meant to be scary. As for the bird, some find birds frightening, maybe thanks to Hitchcock. And I made her hair fierce red cause in a way it represent blood, as if she has been shot in the head. Anyway, coloured with water-colours and please leave comments and tell me what you think. The girl is based on a photograph of myself but she is much prettier. ^_^ This is the "original" pic, I used to have one that was edited with the GIMP computer program but now I finally got a decent shot of it so no retouches!

I think it´s one of your best pics! I especially like the face of the woman, great expression. I can really hear the music in the background ^^, there are also good details like the clock ore laughing mouth. Pink Floyd atmosphere at it´s best, good work! Keep practising, with a little bit more anatomy you will be great.
