It really bothers me when people have to bash OBVIOUSLY GREAT WORK done by other people...I personally feel that it just shows their envy/jealousy coming through that they cant do just as well.
Anyways...GREAT PIC!! I am also a lover of Ancient Egypt. My first tattoo was of the Eye of Ra above my ankle and I later went and got my name in Heiroglyphs on my lower back. I have loved Ancient Egypt and Egyptology since I was in elementary when we did a section on Egypt. Great work Maria...you are most talented...I only wish I had HALF your talent/skill. Hope to see more...

You did a great job with the reflections on the marble!

I actually like this piece. The only two things I recognize is the picture of Isis on the wall (I believe it's her) and the headress the girl is wearing. But that's only because there's a similar headress in the movie "The Prince of Egypt". I think the headress is my favorite part, only because it's such a vibrant, shiney yellow. It's a little different than everything else. Her facial expression is sorta saying, "Oh, did I do that?" Anyways, great job and keep up the good work!

This picture is really cool. It doesn’t match your other pictures, but that’s fine. I like it that way. I agree with JAZ, I think it just says how jealous and envious they are...unless there is something incredibly wrong about it. Well, nothing wrong with this one! You’ve got real talent, Maria. That’s for sure. How long have you been drawing? Please respond to this comment, because I am curious. I like the hyrogliphics, sorry, that is probably spelled wrong, but I also think that it is great how you did the reflection on the marble. I love the cat. My family and I have six of them! Niro, Pandora, Tuna Fish (XD), Ling-Ling, Smudge, and Pumpkin. I know, WOW!!! Anyway, enough about my cats 1. Great pic, and I hope you draw more. I really like her headdress. It’s great.

:-) Maria J. William replies: "That’s too funny, one of my cats is also named Pandora (the other Neo). LOL."

Simply beautiful work- And done in oils. Such vibrant colors! It is so easy to get "muddy colors working with oils, but you surely have mastered the technique 1 And fine job with all the different textures, her skin, the golden headdress, the marble. And the fruit makes me want to see if we have any grapes left1

Nice texture work. this picture feels luxurious. And great color contrasts. It radiates light. 1
