| 13 Dec 2003 | | Loading...I couldnt imagine her name, but her stance brings to mind a Guardian. In service to the King, who resides in the castle yonder, she lays on her rock, overlooking the water, her mind and senses alert to danger and trouble. In this picture, she is suddenly alerted to the left by noises of quietly moving warriors, sneaking through the forest nearby on a siege mission to the castle. She will soon be calling forth the powers of the water to protect her king...and herself... | |

Slowly she lowered herself back down to the small island, hope of rescue fading. The light green water swirling past her face looked harmless enough, but she'd swum in this lake before and spent days recovering. It was doubtful that the medical center would be properly staffed and supplied, and even more doubtful they'd treat her after the disaster just days previous involving the Galaxy Peace Treaty. After a moment she dipped her webbed fingers into the water, wincing as a burning tingle went through her limb. Swimming was out of the question. William J Kenney replies: "Very nice. This is the first Sci-Fi story I think. Cool." | |
| 14 Jun 2004 | Amanda Mae Thomas | Loading...Her name is Arianne, and she is a mermaid/Sea dragon halfling. Her mother was a beautiful sea dragon that seduced her father, the king of the mermaids, which, eventually, led to his demise. His wife, when she learned of her husbands infidelity, turned him into a sea cucumber, leaving him at the bottom of the nearest trench to live out the rest of his unhappy days. Arianne's mother, finding she was pregnant with the king's heir, went to the palace to find out what to do. The Queen attempted to convince her to get rid of the baby, though was met with terrible resistance. 16 years go by, and Arianne still knows nothing of her bloodline, only that her mother raised her since birth, and her mother had told her that her father had died in the war before she was born. Her mother, when she came down with a deadly illness, on her deathbed, told her daughter to go to the palace, and tell them her mothers name, and ask to see the Queen. She went, after she rested, and the Queen was shocked to see her. "Oh my heavens...." she said. She is the spitting image of her father....the Queen thought. There was no denying that she was the King's daughter. So the Queen took her in and taught her the ways of a Princess. This picture, is her sneaking off one night to look at her old home. Ever since she came to the palace, she was forbidden to go back there...she misses it very much and sneaks away from time to time to visit it. William J Kenney replies: "Very good. Very good indeed. This is one of my favorites so far..." | |

| 28 Jun 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...Craning her neck, Kaidra (stole that from above) peered through the mist, trying to keep her tired eyes on the bobbing light moving through the forest. Pushing herself onto her hands, she squinted and could almost see the outline of a person, man or woman? They were dressed in a long, black cloak, and were headed to the castle. Suddenly her tired, foggy mind snapped into alertness. Her vision blacked, and then there before her was an image, as clear as if it were right in front of her: a woman in a black cloak slipped into the castle. Then suddenly, her vision flashed, and she was in a chamber, and a man was lying on a stone table, his arms crossed and surrounded by candles. In the distance she could here someone crying. Then she was back on her island in the mist. He was in danger. The handsome prince that lived in the castle across the lake. Every day Kaidra swam to shore, just to watch him from behind the reeds; watching him ride his strong black gelding, talking to the local fishermen, sorting out disputes fairly. Kaidra loved to watch her prince, the way his raven hair fell across his face, how his sapphire eyes danced when he threw back his head to laugh. If only their two worlds could join... but tonight she had to save her love's life | |
