This reminds me of a book i read a long time ago. It was Chronicles of Chrestomancy. There was a volume one and volume two. Both had a picture of a cat on the front. This looks a lot like one of the pictures, except the cat was a tabby. Still, VERY GOOD PICCY!

I see a face in the mist too-and it's shaped like a cat! THe cat itself is adorable! I love her expresion and eyes!
