William Saloka

SciFi & Fantasy Artwork by William Saloka

William was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania and has returned to his roots after living in Florida for several years. Although pen and ink illustration and painting were his main mediums, Bill found that sculpture and model making would become his favorites. Bill has been fortunate to work on projects with Tor Books, Warner Bros., 21st Century Fox (Atomic Films,) Spencer Gifts, Hamilton Collectables/Bradford Exchange, the city of Jacksonville, Florida [Big Cats mold design] and the NFL. He works in miniature and large-scale pieces. All of his sculptures are designed and produced in-house. The subject is first designed on paper, then sculpted in clay. When the clay piece is finalized, a mold is made from it. The casting is done in a stone medium. Finally they are hand-painted and finished.

Welcome! Your sculptures are very nice, but I absolutely love the color choices in your drawings. Even the lighter colors are somehow bold and lift the picture up off the paper. You have a nice gallery started here.

:-) William Saloka replies: "Thank you for the excellant welcome, all! I had been doing alot of commercial art,but 2years agocame back to full-time Fantasy/Sci-Fi.Gettingback into the fantasy convention circuitsagain too.Feels good to be back!!!Thanks,BILL/The Madd Sculptor"

Oo-ooh! I'd love to be working in 3D, only I'm horribly clumsy with clay-and-suchlike. All the more respect for your work - they're absolutely brilliant! 2
