Wonderful! I love the wheel of time series and you should do some more!! Working in 3D is hard and I really admire your skill.

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "Thanks for the comment in my gallery, Holly. I appreciate that you stopped by. 2 I haven't been doing wheel of time paintings for the past year since I decided to start selling my artwork and WoT is copyrighted to TOR Books and Robert Jordan. While I can make free images for my friends or for posting here at elfwood, I can't sell them. I took a break from fantasy art in 2003 and did a series of Bonsai Trees and Florals instead. I also took a break from Poser since I wanted to sharpen my sketching skills. I am preparing a new series of fantasy art currently to sell at fantasy conventions this fall and they are a combination of my new sketching skills and of Poser. I feel that I have begun to create that organic style that I have envisioned and am starting to get a unique style of my own. I'm not sure if I will be posting my new images here on elfwood as yet. If I do so, it will probably be sometime next spring. However I should have some of them up on my website gallery or on EBSQ within the next month or two."

I don't think I could ever do what you have done here. This, to me, is astounding. It must take you forever just to do one picture. And the detail! I think it would have driven me crazy just adding in the detail. I admire you and your work. I hope you don't quit doing this.

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "Thanks for stopping by, Gwen and thanks for your kind words about my gallery. 2 I haven't stopped painting and don't plan to. The detail is not difficult, just time consumming. It is a matter of building a good library of objects and painting a series of textures for their "skins" to put together these paintings as quickly as I do now. As with all art...practice, practice, practice. 2"

Lovely art... you're so talented! I'm a complete dunce when it comes to computer art, my people all come out looking like shapeless blobs... *g*

Thanks for visiting my gallery!!!

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "You do some beautiful work yourself, Sarah. 2 I enjoyed visiting your gallery too. As for computer art...it just takes practice...like any art medium. I think we all just need to find something that we are comfortable with...be it pixels or paints. 2"

Excellent gallery you have here!!I've recently begun playing around with some 3D programs myself, and can appreciate just how extremely HARD it is to create art with that medium, expecially when combining programs and techniques. It truly takes skill and talent to master this method of producing fine art,and you've certainly shown that you definately do have both.Great job!^_^

You've got some interesting things in this gallery. Although the Poser style doesn't really appeal to me because it reminds me too much of video games and things, I think it's great that you use it to express what you imagine. I's love to see you use one of your Poser pics as a reference for a *real* or digital media painting or drawing, since it would be better for showing expression and uniqueness, even if it's full of flaws. (flaws make it interesting. Long live flaws!)

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "Oh...I'll never use paint. It is messy and toxic and I have so less control over my image and the end product. It is like the difference between a spaceship and a horse drawn cart. 2 You should try digital sometime. It's addicting. 2 Actually, I do freehand paint things all the time via Painter 8, but they are not of fantasy theme so I don't post them here. I love Poser and the freedom it gives me. I much prefer it over straight freehand."

Wow! I have seen many 3d artists and i must admit i do not like that particular medium very much. Its just too hard an image and to sterile a medium. But you have managed quite well. The application of the filters does add another dimension to your works but some of them are a little overdone. Overall though, you are quite an amazing artist. You must have a ton of patience to be able to put up with that stuff for so long. Awesome stuff.

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by the gallery. In what way do you feel the filters are overdone? Just curious. I go back and forth on filter use. I don't like the hard edges of a straight poser render and use postwork to soften things. I prefer a more organic feel to my work, yet I am definately hooked on creating my images via the computer. I wouldn't wish to work in any other medium."

I'm not a big fan of Poser work, but you manage to pull of some quite nice pieces. I'd really like to see some of your jewellry up on display, maybe just because I have a jewellry fetish. 2 You could pretend it's a pincess' set of something to get it in maybe.

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "My jewelry is on display on my website and on ebay. Feel free to take a look. My handle on ebay is: indigoskye. Thanks for stopping by the elfwood gallery. 2"
