Portrait of Amarantha Charmai
Dancer, lover, wilder, and prophetess... Amarantha Charmai is of Ghealdan, born and raised on a horse farm there. She is a rather tall figure of mystery, in more than one way, but her destiny lies within her ability to channel and to Foretell. Currently, she is a novice living in the White Tower.

  • Amarantha: Vicky2, texture: Hannah Texture & my modified head texture
  • Wardrobe: Sermack Dress. my texture
  • Hair: Korabuzo MK2: my texture
  • Background: Elysium's Cloister. Textures by Elysium and myself.

The figure and background were created and rendered in Poser separately and then imported into PSP for postwork and combining. Due to all the custom texture work, the image took around four days to complete.

Project Completed: 4/18/02

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "Thanks for your comment. I thought that Amarantha turned out quite well. I've been working with Poser and doing digital painting for around four years now. I really love it. 2"

I love your colour choices. I think the sceme works very well! I just adore her skin tone and her dress colour. Normaly I don't like silver so much but I think it works very well with this!

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "I get more requests for silver eyes and hair when I create game portraits. In fact, the one I'm working on right now has that coloring. I agree. It is a hard one to portray in a painting when you work in a digital medium...to hard a silver and it loses that organic feel. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. 2"

I really like it. Though I would love to see the look on the Aes Sedai's face who caught a novice wearing a dress that low2 I was wondering do you take character portraits for WoT writing site characters?

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "LOL If you knew this character, you would understand why the dress was cut that way. It really fits the personality. In answer to your question, YES, I do fantasy portraits of characters all the time. All the ones in my elfwood gallery are portraits of characters that my friends play. Feel free to email me about a portrait if you wish. I'll be glad to chat with you about it. The only problem is, they do take me awhile to create and when I out at an art show selling my art...I am naturally not at my computer. 2 Anyway, thanks for stopping by. 2"
