Gu'drun Astrunnel is a domani born Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. She is seen pictured here in her Tower apartment with her Warder, Victor Dhamsid.

To create this 'duet', I first created each of the two figures and the set separately in Poser, then I combined them all piece by piece into the final picture. I rendered in Poser and then imported into PSP for touch up work.

Love the sky background, and the room, it's great. I especially love the girl, she's very pretty! The only thing that bugs me is the "soldier, guard?"'s hair. Purple doesn't seem to exactly suit him.

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "Purple hair? I wonder if it is your monitor? He is meant to have dark, but natural hair. Victor is Gu'dren's bonded Gaidin...a protector if you will. He is bound by a magical oath to protect her from all harm."

LOL his hair is definitely purple.

Now, I find it hard to appreciate 3D art because I think that it is cheating. But I like what you have done with her hair here - I think it was you! I would love to see more of this organic look you have said you are moving towards (in another of your pics, you said that). Do you sketch aswell?? I'd love to see some of that stuff!

:-) Wendy Van Camp replies: "You know, when I created this image I was having some vision problems that have since been corrected. NOW I can see that his hair is purple. LOL So you all caught me. *wink*As for 3D being cheating, I don't view it that way at all. To use the 3D programs effectively takes years of practice to use the software. Believe me, there is no "make art button" on my computer! Also, I don't create the entire image in the 3D program. I do alot of my work by sketching with my wacom tablet and combine both freehand work and Poser work to get the final image. If you would like to view some of my freehand work, please visit my website and take a look at my bonsai trees. They all start as sketches that I do postwork on to get the final image. Thanks for visiting my gallery here at elfwood and in leaving a comment! It is appreciated."
