Chem just always did* and always will suck. *According to our one chem lecturer: "In the beginning, there was chemistry!" Haha, that guy was so cool. Excentric but cool. At school I refused to study chem because I KNEW that I would never see it again... Yeah, good luck with THAT plan eh? As to my own questions: The course I've got now will allow me to do the whole Micro-bio and bio-chem thing, so that'll be cool! As a third subject next year I'll also be doing 2nd year Zoo (Granted I pass, but I don't have much doubt of that) I'll probably get my degree and see what job I can get with that. I might go further though as part-time while working after that, maybe. Sara A. Chow replies: "Due to the lack of time currently available to me (because I suppose I subconciously enjoy logging on with five minutes to leaving the house time), I shall respond with:Lucky. You're so confident in your passing ability. I, on the other hand, believe that the curve will screw me over majorly.HAND!" | |
| 10 Sep 2006 | Ray Krisman | Hehe, yah I know the feeling. I tend to come on here even when I have a majour test that I haven't studied for the next day... "It's only five minutes" Three hours later... Curiousity asks a question: Do you drink? Go to clubs? Dance on table-tops? I'm pre-guessing the answer is a "No", especially for the last one. Because I don't really drink. I don't have a personal abhoration to it like I have against smoking, but I never seem to do it. I suppose my group of friends are all just more of a "hang out and/or play squash" group than a "Go out to clubs/parties and get wasted" group. Also, my group of friends is a bunch of guys since I was in an all-boys school. So we were kinda missing one aspect... Sara A. Chow replies: "First, let me start by saying: COMMENT #223! YOU WIN! (Why 223? I don't know. Just a random number I really, really like.)Muahaha. Do I drink? That's a good question. The short answer is: yes, and none of my friends do. It leads to feelings of desertedness when you, say, want to go for a celebratory drink after your first class of post-secondary because you didn't die after all. *ahem* I don't club, as my loud-music tolerance is very low, and I don't dance on tabletops, although I was once persuaded (and we're talking maybe 3 hours of begging and pleading, for the record) to stand on a chair and clap. (I'm not the life of the party... yet.)Um. Yeah. HAND!" | |
| 11 Sep 2006 | Ray Krisman | Hah! Because you said you'd be remembered as the quiet one I figured you don't drink. Most people that drink are very loud. By the way, I said it in the sense of "Drink every weekend as the prefered form of recreation" Heh, you're coming across as a rather interesting semi-closed person. 223'rd comment! Woot! 23 is one of my favorite numbers *cough*birthday*cough*! Hehehe, here's something for you... Last week on Lover's Rock, Judith tells Lapice that she is pregnant: "Lapice, I'm pregnant!" This week on Lover's Rock, Lapice questions Judith's pregnancy: "Joodith, waduu meeen yoooo pregnant?" That's all for today, join us next week for another thrilling episode of Lover's Rock! For the best quality local dramas, pay your TV licence, its the right thing to do. Sara A. Chow replies: "Ahh yes. The ever popular soap-opera-ish sagas. As for my TV license, I do believe it's paid. And regarding my semi-closedness: if I was as drunk as the people who weren't there were saying I probably was, it wasn't my fault, because I wasn't buying the drinks.Um, what else. Oh, yes. 23 is a great number. It adds to five, and multiplies to six. (Or, at least, it does those things if you seperate the two digits.) So... assuming that the 23rd day in any given month might just be the best day, what month is the best month?I really, really, really hope that entire response made sense to you. Or, at least, that part of it did. Anyhow. HAND!" | |
| 18 Sep 2006 | Ray Krisman | I replied! I REPLIED! IT ATE MY REPLY! I'm too sleepy now to respnd. Goodnyt Sara A. Chow replies: "Yar!Fair enough. It does that all the time to me. Gives you some stupid "cannot connect to server" message, and your 500-word essay of a reply that was painstakingly crafted is gone. Ah, the horror.I be feeling a little melodramatic today." | |
| 30 Sep 2006 | Ray Krisman | Humpty dumpty sat on a wall humpty dumpty had a great fall all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put humpty together again Sara A. Chow replies: "Ahh, the original tragedy. How sad for Sir Dumpty. At least his spirit lives on through the childhood rhyme.Geez. It seems like there are a lot of childhood rhymes that aren't necessarily... totally... lighthearted. Or, maybe I'm looking too deep...HAND!" | |
| 29 Dec 2006 | Jennifer Lynn Nelson | Happy belated Chaunakah, I've decided to be Jewish this year, oh and Happy Kwanzaa, I've also decided to be black, I'm still looking for someone to tell me what Kwanzaa is and if I get presents. I could google it, but then that would take away from the whole, What's Kwanzaa thing I have going. HAND! PS Happy Early Super Bowl Sara A. Chow replies: "*dances around in a circle* Yay Super Bowl! I'm looking forward to it, mostly because the Patriots aren't out... at least, as far as I know. I'm so sad, though... as far as other teams go, I wind up cheering for whichever has the most good-looking guys. Or the awesomest name. (I must admit that any team that makes reference to pirates is a good team for me. Yar.)Have fun being black! And Jewish. Isn't it great to live somewhere where you can be anything? Oh the contradictions you can make...HAND!" | |
| 23 Jan 2007 | Jennifer Lynn Nelson | Okay, Super Bowl, The Colts and The Bears, since you can't eat either and I don't know much about either team, and I like horses so I'll probably root for The Colts... Or, I could go with my old default, white wife beater with 12 written on it and root for the Patriots anyway. Sara A. Chow replies: "Well, if you were French, you could eat the colts and claim that it's French culture. (I think it's French, anyways....) I have heard of eating bear, though... and I do like the idea of a QB named Rex... still, I like the default "root for the Pats anyway" idea. I think we should probably just dress up Manning in a Patriots outfit (apparently the Colts are the favourite to win...).Anyhow, I have about another week to get my mind wrapped around the "who to cheer for" issue.HAND!" | |
| 5 Feb 2007 | Jennifer Lynn Nelson | Colts won the Super Bowl, I always pick the winners. One of these days I'm actually gonna bet on a game. No, probably not, I was still rooting for the Patriots. GO TOM BRADY! NUMBER 12!!! Sara A. Chow replies: "Grr... the Colts won. Go figure... seeing as how I was cheering for the Bears. Actually, I had that song called Chicago (it's jazz... kind of a Frank Sinatra feel... maybe he actually sang it, I don't know) stuck in my head for the ENTIRE game. Except, the only part I knew was that "Chi-ca-go, Chi-ca-go" part. So... it was... a long game...GO PATRIOTS!" | |
| 14 Mar 2007 | Ray Krisman | What the hell? It says I'm not allowed to comment here because you have been temporarily banned! But it gives me the option to log in, and then allows me to comment? Well, I just came here to say that, well, the Canadian cricket team sucks! You guys are losing to KENYA in the CRICKET WORLD CUP! I've never heard of temporary bannings before... Well, I just tried around a bit and it lets me comment here now, and everywhere else. That was verry odd... Sara A. Chow replies: "Wooah... I haven't been getting any e-mails about comments, so I'm assuming that my (stupid) e-mail provider is blocking messages from Elfwood (which isn't overly far-fetched), so Elfwood is mad at me for... not getting the e-mails... I guess.Furthermore, I wasn't aware that Canada even had a cricket team. I think it's because I'm too blinded by the excessive failures of my city's sport teams, let alone the country's. Sure, Canada's a great place to live, but we certainly aren't a sporting nation. *sigh*Yeah... that's weird... I haven't heard of temporary bans either... kinda scary. But HAND anyways!" | |
| 9 Oct 2007 | Jennifer Lynn Nelson | Wow, March was the last time you had a comment, almost as sad as my page. Don't really have anything to say... Oh, what you doing for haloween? I'm going trick or treating. I'm gonna either be Johnny Cash or a Geisha, Johnny Cash cause I already have black pants, shirt, boots, and can get a cowboy hat for like $5 easy, and my sister used to play guitar. Geisha if my mom finishes the comstume before Haloween. Not likely. HAND! Sara A. Chow replies: "I know! It's so sad... my writing has lapsed. I've tried to keep it up via co-writing with some friends, but someone in the group isn't passing it on... how sad!So many good ideas, so little time. And unfortunately, so little writing...But HAND anyways!!!" | |
