SciFi and Fantasy Art Emergence by Ximon Dunedain

This is an odd bit of fantastical art that came from an image in my head of a race of beings trapped in a dark, dank cavern. One of them finds a minute spark of light/energy that gives her the wonder, curiosity, and energy to pull herself from the cavern walls, and the power of her concentration pulls the others from their prisons. For some reason, I had a strong association of this place being like the location in the movie Aliens, where the creatures' human victims were entombed, but in a more natural setting, with no technology involved. The beings in this image are definitely escaping prisoners, but what their intentions are and what they will do when they come into contact with the outside world is unknown, and I'm not entirely certain that it's friendly...
