*Nods with sympathy for your story* Life can really suck at times, can't it? I spent a good deal of my early years living more in my own imagination than I ever did IRL, and for many of the same reasons you had. Still, you stuck with it, and look what it got you... the guy you'd dreamed of! Life can really be *grand* at times, too! ;-)

Love the gallery, Yasmine. Wish *I* painted humans/elves that good!

Yasmine, those dragon figurines and the metal ones too, they are awesome! How long did it take to make one of things, it would take me forever! Your art is amazing, and I love those dragons...they ROCK!

:-) Yasmine Dufour Mayor *Veya Wolfheart* replies: "Ummm, I've got the bad habit of rarely counting my time. It varies so much depending on the type of sculpture... The longest dragon to make was certainly the blue one, I worked on it a whole afternoon. The green and the red were quicker, the flying one gave me trouble with its wings... so it took a bit longer to fix everything! And for the silver ones... they were made over two days but not continually, you see, first prepare the wax, then the plaster mould which had to dry overnight, then melt the wax and finally cast the silver. They took very little work after casting : I liked that "raw" look!"

Nice gallery. Looks like your older pictures have slightly off proportions, but the newer stuff looks better. You can tell that you have a lot of talent, but you still need a little more training. Try some of the proportions and body structure tutorials in the FARP and/or drawing from models/photographs. You'll be amazed with what you can do.

I usually try working with a mirror for body proportions but I always need a lot of time to get something more or less right... Yes, the FARP has great tutorials, it's always useful to look through them. It seems that I keep trying but never get it right... you still call that talent? Oh well, thanks all the same, I'm glad you came and visited my gallery. Constructive criticism is always welcome!"
