Month/year:- May 2003 . While I was on holiday I came up for a weird idea for a manga set in the Wild West with...uh ... were-coyotes ... don't ask ^^;; Anywhoo, when I got back I started drawing up some concept sketches for the main character and stuff - but when I got to drawing one of the were-coyotes I realized I'd never tried to draw a were-creature before O_o;; I mean you'd expect me, fan of horror and fantasy and wolves that I am, to have drawn Weres before, but no! And my anime-style wolves keep looking cute >_< They're not supposed to be cute! Ahhh!! But then I started this one, and it was looking all fantasy-illustrationy instead, so I decided to finish it off properly. As of yet I still haven't successfully managed an animesq were-coyote, but I'll show you guys when I do ^_^ The bg makes it difficult to clearly see the werecoyote in my opinion . Clouds are so tough to do in just line art! I tried to make them look like Larry Elmore's clouds, but I guess I've got a long way to go. One day I would love to be able to illustrate role-playing modules for D&D and such *sigh*

This is really great, but you should probably know that White Wolf has a Werewolf: Wild West tabletop roleplaying game already published. Just thought I'd give you a heads-up. But the pic is really, really great. It actually reminds me of some of the stuff in the aforementioned rpg. Great stuff; keep it up!

This is stunning black and white work! The coyote isn't that hard to see in front of the background, and I think the picture would be far less interesting if it wasn't there. I really want to get good at pen and ink, and I was wondering if you have any favorite b/w artists, or if you have any tips in general. I'd really appreciate it!
