An ode to Lady Spring. And why not? I can have my own heathen religion, can't I?

Lady Spring
Lady Spring, overcoming her illness, is finally here.
Stepping softly and slowly, she enters the scene.
All of nature rejoices and sends up a cheer,
Its applause cloaking the world in lush, sacred green.
Lady Spring recites a dance and performs a tale
Of the rebirth of the world and the waking of life,
Of the North wind becoming but a playful spring gale,
Of Hag Winter, leaving without comment or strife
A standing ovation breaks open the skies,
Bringing down an avalanche of warmth on the land,
And giving dark winter nights a new magical guise,
The earth comes alive, playing a symphony grand.
And Lady Spring drifts through the cities,
Gently caressing their streets with cleansing rain,
Unlocking frost-shut doors to cellars gritty,
The arrival of Lady Spring loosens a chain.
Lady Spring,
Let us live,
Let us sing.

Wow... no comments? That means I get to do the first comment dance! *first comment dances all over the place*
Anyway... this is a very nice... poem? I like it, simple and sweet, yet well thought out. Very nice.

Very nice poem. Good meter and form. After such a winter, I welcome lady spring with open arms as well. 2
