| 1 Dec 2004 | Ogrebear | Loading...I like the mad eyes and wild beard! Looks like he's genna kick off any second..... exactly right! The arms do seem a little thin but then a berserker is genna burn off a lot of fat/bulk when they frenzy leaving only raw, pure power. Wicked art! Zachariah Campbell replies: "His arms... are a bit... -thin- ? Really?? They look pretty massive to me. Or maybe the body is so thick, that the arms look that way in comparison...? Meh. Dwarves!! " | |
| 30 Dec 2004 | L. Mazurkiewicz | Loading...He is quite frenzy - I like it...Muscles are drawn excellent but for me there is to much of it on his "little" body... Zachariah Campbell replies: "I normally wouldn't draw a dwarf looking quite this muscular. It's just that this particular dwarf was SO strong and SO nuts, I figured I should steroid him up a bit. " | |
| 9 Jan 2005 | Frank Castle | Loading...Everyone get out of the room, the dwarf is gonna blow!!! Oh! Thats just a drawing. I knew that. Good job. I love the Eyes. He looks like he could use an angermanagement class. It really does look good. | |
| 28 Jan 2005 | Darren | Loading...very good. You can tell this one is more recent because you've gotten alot better! And yes, I know he's a dwarf, but the legs are still too short. Zachariah Campbell replies: "Yes Darren, thanks for the kind words, but.... ARRRRRGGGHHHH!!! Too what!? For what!? Are you a dwarf expert? Are you even an art expert?! You are waaaaay too smug, man.Why not say that Charlie Brown's legs are too short, and his head's too round? Same thing! You don't get to decide how "realistic" Schiele, or Rackham, or Romita Jr's drawings are. They're drawing Superman's chin thicker than his head, and you're telling me that my cartoony dwarf's legs are too short? Give me a break, dude... grow an imagination already. Grrrr. Gnash Gnash. Snap." | |
| 18 Nov 2005 | Francis RP Navarro | Loading...At the risk of being gnashed and snapped upon, I have to say that Darren is right. (Ducks under the table.) Zachariah Campbell replies: "Naaaah... Darren's NEVER right. That's the official policy here at Zac's Gallery. If you knew him, you'd understand. I'll stand by it though... I can't seriously accept a statement that his legs are "too" short, when there's no standard against which dwarves must be judged... particularly a dwarf with an exaggerated physique. 1980's He-Man figures had tiny little legs, but it was part of the "style" they were made in. Mr.Incredible from THE INCREDIBLES is the same, but we understand his tiny legs draw attention to his massive cartoonish torso. If those are -human- characters, what happens when we apply the same formula to a dwarf?I admit I haven't "sold" his short legs, but I think it's more to do with his hips. He has no pelvis. His abs just run right into his legs! If I drop his crotch lower, the legs will probably look even shorter, but less abrupt. It's a matter of identifying where the root of the problem is. My friend Darren sees the problems, but not the causes, which is why I'm always bickering with him. " | |

| 11 Jun 2006 | Dunedan64 | Loading...A Dwarf SHOULD have short legs. A great picture - I love the expression. | |
| 22 Jun 2006 | Gully Dwarves Rule | Loading...*******AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGG!!!! Do these people have to powers of observation. The whole idea of art is for the artist to draw things the way he pictures them. That's what makes him an artist!!!! Anotherwise he's no more than an IBM copier. I understand the comments that help with how to use some technique to better advantage. Those are helpful. But enjoy the pictures as you would guests in your house. "Listen" to them, enjoy them for what they are. Thanks for an original dwarf.******** | |
