''In the mid-19th century, the Onagawa family's eccentric heir ordered that on the eve of his death, his brain and those of 50 of his loyal samurai bodyguards, were to be removed and placed in a special solution devised by a European scientist in his employ.

Nearly 300 years later, the Onagawa Corporation arrived at the level of technology necessary to revive the preserved brains, but 41 of the original 50, including the master himself, were damaged beyond repair by the imperfect process.

The 9 remaining samurai brains were installed in hulking cybernetic bodies, in order to continue their duties as bodyguards to Onagawa Executive officers. Unit VII however, continues to win battlefield glory to the Onagawa name, in the corporate cyborg division of the unlimited class fighting circuit.''

23 Feb 2004	Stanton F. Fink	Loading... Cybernetic, or not, it's quite hard to be a bodyguard with only one leg. Have you thought of drawing the 47 Ronin as mechas? Zachariah Campbell replies: "Heh... y'know, once a drawing has sat unfinished for a certain amount of time, it's just hard to add new stuff without it looking "off" or stylistically inconsistent. 47 Ronin?? Are you crazy? With my recent pace of work, that would take me years! "
