Tag As FavoriteComment		Resting on the frayed borders of Faerie, where the mists still carry mortals from one side to the other, and common woodland fae feel no need to hide, the lush, prosperous Vinland realm is found. Residing within the Wayward Keep, the Castle Bacchalas, is the court of Ivrion the Wine Knight, born of both Faerie and Men, and he who is host of the Lingering Gathering, a merry party that revels from one phase of the moon to the next, always warm, always welcoming...

But no mere indolent is the good Wine Knight, for his is a tale of both sorrow and joy, dread and delight, valour and honour... and still today, to the joy of the minstrels and bards, he will take up arms again, should the cause of justice call for the strength of his sword arm.

This is a 'less' coloured version of a sketch I kind of liked. I felt like in the previous version the colours were overpowering the line.

nono- it works, maiboy! I like the little sketchy details! I do have to remark however... am I supposed to dislike him or is he just a bit of a sullen one? He looks a bit mean, or just really anal- but eitehr way, the mood and detail is here and I love how you preserved teh sketchiness of it. So few people do that around here.

Glad you colored it. Still think it needs a touch of green for contrast, but that’s just my taste. He’s gorgeous.

:-) Zachariah Campbell replies: "Yeah, this is a pretty quick and sloppy colour job. I never thought of including green in the palette, though it’s logical. I probably would go with a neutral third tone like silver embroidery, to give him a slightly more otherworldly, night-time majesty.
