Here's another older, larger piece from my everyday faeries series. This guy wanders around your house at night, probably rummaging behind the sofa for change. Again, the Brian Froud influence was full steam here. :)

Ostensibly, as an art-school project, it was supposed to be a drawing on the theme of 'light'. This was charcoal pencil and white conte, but I incorporated some of the yellow from the bad slide into the piece.

Zachariah Campbell replies: "I really like this drawing, but I don't usually work this way... requires a mental shift of gear. Also, I worked large for this guy (he's 2 feet tall) with a conte stick, so I really could work the detail into the shadows.I should do more like this some day..."
4 Mar 2003	Keres	Loading... resists the urge to poke the thing's huge eyes and giggles interesting drawing. Cute at first glance, then just plain creepy when looked at again. Nice affect with the pencil strokes, and a good overall drawing! Zachariah Campbell replies: "POKE!Ouch!! How mean! (then he eats you!)"
