And I figure that his scabbard is one of those cheap, leather-dealies. Zachariah Campbell replies: "He conforms to the latter rather than the former. He's evil in the cruel, honest, orderly kind of way. The scabbard is, uh... magical. Yeah, that's it..."

Zachariah Campbell replies: "Excellent! Thanks, that's exactly the personality I wanted to convey. I don't know why I gave him the "evil-eye" but it just seemed to fit. "

John Zachariah Campbell replies: "Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!!Uh... it's spandex?I agree... a lot of "fantasy" swords just don't have the charm of solid, simple, authentic crosshilts... at least in a medieval european-style setting. | 28 Oct 2007 | Matthias Schmidt | Loading...This guy seems to belong to the group of people who experienced so much fights, battles and slaughters that nothing and no one can scare him in any way. He's a warrior without passion, he does what he must do. That doesn't mean he's a mindless killer, he just does his job, and that makes him evil in the eyes of some others... now that are my thoughts when I look at this nice piece of art. Please tell me if I'm wrong about him. Zachariah Campbell replies: "You got it right on! He's also an authoritarian... not for the sake of his ego, but because he adheres to strict order. Kindness is not in his nature. In retrospect, this guy strikes me as a very George RR Martin-style character, though I only started reading his books this past year. Thanks for your excellent comments! "
