| 15 Oct 2002 | Diana 'Eruwen' Davidsson | Loading...hm.. I like this picture... you've been playing Rangnarök, ne?... That's a fun game.. keep up your amazing art oki! Zachariah Campbell replies: "Ragnarok? No, actually... but I think my style is pretty influenced these days by Japanese video game character design... that is what you mean, right? (I don't know Ragnarok)" | |
| 15 Oct 2002 | Jaynai | Loading...Its a really good pic and all but she has really huge feet! Zachariah Campbell replies: "Actually, her head is a bit small, but her feet aren't actually that big. At least they're not tiny little spikes like some folks draw them... " | |
| 27 Oct 2002 | H. Ching | Loading...There's something very attractive about this sketch. I'm guessing it's because the picture looks so balanced. The shading is excellent too, as is the costume design. My only criticism is that the head appears a bit too small. I'm following the rule of thumb that the head should be about 1/7 the height of the rest of the body. But then again it's not far off. Excellent job! Zachariah Campbell replies: "Generally, I don't bother much with the art "formulas" (like head-height thing), since often elongate my figures anyway. But I DO agree about the head, and her arms are a bit too long as well, even in terms of relative proportion. But at the same time, it does have a very "finished" feeling to it doesn't it. Doesn't happen often with me. " | |
| 11 Nov 2002 | Keisha Lawrence | Loading...ah... more good art. she's all realistic in the animated way, neh? anyways, i love the fact that she's not all willowy and stuff. quite real and robust. although those pants of hers... *whisks her off to Navy Seal* Zachariah Campbell replies: "What's wrong with the pants? I like the fact that she's wearing short poofy pants. Thanks for you comment on her solidity. Aside from the overextension of her arms, I like the way she has a specific body type, not just a stylish generalization. That way the body becomes the character too, not just the face and clothes. " | |
| 19 Feb 2003 | Joe Grant joegrant@sym...ca> | Loading...This has to be one of my fave's Zac, and I've seen a lot of your work. I love the pants, and the "Glow". It has life. Her wrists look al ittle uncomfortable though. Zachariah Campbell replies: "Yeah, the forearms are the awkward part of this overall I think, and maybe the shape of her feet... the "glow" was a happy photoshop accident... like most of my stuff. " | |
| 24 Feb 2003 | Natalia Rubanov | Loading...Ooh i love her outfit! | |
| 6 Apr 2003 | Flamekaat | Loading...Actually the feet are not to big. She looks like a tall girl, and being one of those I tell you she'd be a clutz with tiny feet. As for the hand/wrist/forearm problem all you need to do is curve the arms in more it looks almost like she's puffing out her chest a little. The hands should just be a little more in towards the center of the body to make it a comfortable more real lifish stance that wouldn't make your arms and shoulders ache. I really like this one and her clothes are stylin'! Keep up the great work! Zachariah Campbell replies: "She's actually not supposed to be very tall at all, but I guess it's hard to say without any comparison to go by. Also, I tend to draw heads smaller than would be natural. Yeah, the curve of the arms could be adjusted... particularly the arm holding the cloak, which is the more awkward of the two..." | |

| 18 Jan 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...The way you drawn the piece of silk she is holding seems terrible, it looks like a blob of goo. Everything else looks fantastic though. Zachariah Campbell replies: "That's not silk, that's her... um... magic cloak of toffee. Uh, yeah.It -is- supposed to be a cloak. I have this compulsive disorder that forces me to integrate characters' cloaks into a pose, even if there's no reason on earth to do so. And this one is a bit weak, I'll grant you. " | |
