WOOO HOOOO!!! oh.. wait, Im think of my monky king ^_^;;; Oh hell yeah Sanzalio look kind of cooler Personaly, and the Armor looks Awesome. I guess you could write Sanzalio off as a "new" character.. becuase he is Quit diffrent from his first form. But any who, Great work keep it up.. Working on my art trade, just to let you know ^_^ Panda Zachariah Campbell replies: "Thanks dude. Your monkey king is pretty cool too, but the -original- Monkey King beats us both. Love that guy..er,monkey. Yeah, this pretty much a new character, I guess... "

That's allright, though; they're maginificent drawings and something to remind me what it is I strive for; reality and detail while still containing stylization and graphic elements. I dig the hair so much, those chops rock. Zachariah Campbell replies: "Hey, I gotta give those lazy animators and wardrobe people something to do! Yeah, I think the hair and chops are my favourite part too... "

Not if they're 3D animators... they just have to render the stuff once, and then just apply motion to the finished model. Of course, the rendering department may still hate him... Anyway, dern good work, as usual, Zac! Strangely, his leg-guards remind me of a certain character's arm-guard... Zachariah Campbell replies: "Yeah, well... if you pay attention, you'll notice that I do tend to repeat myself. There may be a lot of detail in my work, but a lot of it is superfluous repetition. Sigh... "

| 4 Oct 2003 | Darren | Loading...JEEZ MAN!!! All I ever do is add a t-shirt and maybe a tight fitting pair of breeches to my characters. You add layers and layers of clothes on top of armor on top of clothes with pouches and belts and on and on and on... Now I really want us to get together just so I can see you sketch one of these babies out in person. But for a guy who obsesses over detail like you do, why oh why can't you draw hair? Zachariah Campbell replies: "Um... he has hair. Quite nice spikey black hair, with highlights even. I don't get you man. I've seen you draw hair, and I don't understand what you're looking for here. Photorealism? If I don't have authentic leather textures painted in over his coat and gear, why would I try to create an authentic "hair" texture on a line drawing? It's inconsistent." | |
| 18 Dec 2005 | Mangagirl | Loading...Nice picture. The only thing that is really bugging me is the detail. You have excellent work up ahead, but you pictures are far too detailed. I can hardly tell the legs from the lower body. Otherwise, the picture is really great. It has to be for my approval. | |
