The Ishgren are a long-limbed sinewy race, at home leaping and swinging from the branches of the tallest trees, but equally able amid the underbrush. Their colouration is not the result of inks, dyes or camofluage paints, but rather a unique pigmentation of the skin, eyes and hair that allows them to blend into the greenery in a startling fashion. Generally they are only found in the lushest, most secluded forests, and they tend to shun the world at large.

Often believed to be a Faerie folk because of their appearance and stealthy comings and goings, the Ishgren are in fact simply a highly specialized offshoot of humanity. Their society is that of tribal hunter-gatherers and they rarely leave the security of their dense forests, though when they do, they are highly prized as military scouts and spies. Shrye here is one of these few.

31 Dec 2004	Anonymous	Loading... Just wondering if you added the feet on afterwards or just used less detail on the boots and such as a stylistic approach. Zachariah Campbell replies: "A little of column A and a little of column B, as they say... The pencil drawing this started as really just kind of tapered off towards the bottom, so there was almost no detail in the feet. Then I scanned it, and coloured it, and there's -still- no detail in the feet. The weird thing is that I really -like- drawig feet. I really do. I just get bored by the time I get down to the bottom of the page I guess. "
