My contribution to the graphics competition at Kindergarden 2010. Placed 3rd. I drew this almost entirely at the party, so the background isn't too good... Needed to finish it for the deadline :) At least I delivered something! Tools used: Adobe Photoshop CS3, Painter X and a Wacom.

The creature lurking around in the water is supposed to be the mythological creature "Nøkken" or Neck/Nixie as it's called in English :) You may read about him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nix

Love the cherry blossoms! You left a question on her face and a question in the minds of those who look closely. Is the beast in the water ominous, or is it something or someone in disguise? Is there a threat? She does not appear too concerned, so I think not.
