"The King and his Griffon" by Empty Empty

This is a story that I made up for my (and my cousin Derek's) fantasy world. Here is a King. He rides a griffon. He eventually dies. The end.

But really: Many would call this man a tyrant, a dictator, an evil ruler. But no-one can deny that things get done when he is around. However, their minds eventually change as a result of one final battle. His kingdom was under attack by an army of demons that they call the 'Croug.' Everyone is sure of destruction, even with the powerfull army The King has assembled. But just as all seems lost, The King flies out aboard his griffon, and sacrifices himself with a powerful spell that leads the rest of the Croug into oblivion. Some say that he couldn't stand having the history books saying that he had lost a battle, others say that he did it for the good of the people, but one thing is for sure. The city still stands tall, and thrives on the Continent of Sarwynd.
