Tag As FavoriteComment		A couple of years ago I decided that there wasnt enough pictures or knowledge about all the wonderful mythical creatures that are around so I started drawing and writing about them all. Now those pictures are severley outdated, and I never got around to finishing it, so I decided I would try again, with all the pictures in lead.

A beautiful woman who, after being raped by Poseidon in Athene's temple, was punished by the furious Goddess. Athene did not take away Medusa's beauty, but turned her hair into a wild tangle of snakes and condemned her to lurk in darkness. Anyone who looked at her with love in his eyes was instantly turned to stone. Medusa's tragic tale ended with Perseus using a mirror-like shield to reflect her stony gaze before chopping off her head, killing her instantly.
