The griff's head is pretty good, but it's body seems rather shapeless. I do like the positions of it's claws though. Sort of gnarled. Also, the wings seem a little small and light for something so large, but the detail on it's feathers is quite good. The man's face leaves a bit to be desired, though, but i like his arms.
| 15 Mar 2002 | Boutet | Loading...Actually i think the difference between gryphon and griffin and griffon and all those others is just spelling. ^_^ most of the time i think of griffin as a last name, griffon as a first name, and gryphon as the beast you see. good drawing by the way Rena V. Swift replies: "Thanks...I always get confused with all the different spellings. The drawings in your gallery are nice too, BTW." | |

Swift replies: "Really? I saw the booklet at my friend's house, and I tried to draw the gryphon (griffin?) when I went home. I didn't know it was that similar looking, though, since I have a bad photographic memory "

It's not impossible for more than one person to have the same idea, is it? *gives Rena a balloom* ^=^ Te! He! Rena V. Swift replies: "Ummm...Yay! *Takes balloom and wonders what it is* hehe"

| 29 May 2003 | GryphonFlight | Loading...Hippogriffs have hooves. Gryphons are the front of a eagle w/long ears and the rear of a lion. There are different alterations for this like cats, cheetahs, leopards, etc. for the rear and a different kind of bird for the head. Sometimes people put 4 lion paws instead of using bird legs. The one you drew is perfect except that they have ears or feather tufts on their head. Still, variety is nice and this is so cute! I love your style of art!^_^ | |
